japanese haiku

I look side to side
As my crazy eyes track cars
Waiting for green man

Who am I

I am the hard hit of falling hail stones
I am the humming of a busy bee
I am the sudden laugh of a silly clown
I am the mighty roar of an angry lion
I am the powerful hit of a sledgehammer
I am the moo of a grazing cow
I am the boom from a thunderous flash
I am the cry from a noisy baby
Who is the panting of a breathing dragon?
Who is the cause of vibration?
Who is the shout of the world?
If not I ?

The angry moon

The moon stamps through the burnt, black sky,
furrowing his blazing brow.
The prisoner stars trail him,
crying golden tears.

little Sister

That's my little Sisiter,
just five minutes old.
Already seeking something,
to bite, chew and hold.
That's my little sister
already going bald,
I can't just call her sister,
so what will she be called?

I want to call her Carol,
but all Carols are hymns.
I want to call her Jimmy,
but I always visit gyms.
I want to call her spotty,
but she may punch my nose.
I will not call her Rosy,
she don't look like a rose.

When I hear her crying,
I want to call her LOUD!!
If she's the type for talking,
I may call her a crowd.
If she's good at singing,
I'll call her nightingale.
If she keeps on grinning,
she'll make the Doctors wail.

The Doctors call her beauty,
but Beauty is a horse.
The nurses called her cutey,
being polite, of course.
My Mummy and my Daddy,
just don't have an idea.
We don't have a name ready,
but we're so glad she's here.

Unhappy Landing

Here lies the bones of Wilbur Flytte,
who stole his fathers' micro light.
At take off he was quite an ace,
performing stunts with style and grace.
But something he had never planned,
no-one taught him how to land.
So round and round poor Wilbur went,
till all his precious fuel was spent.
Returning to earth was easy he found,
but landed 6 feet underground.!

Easter Poem by Lizzie

Chocolate eggs, an Easter Bonnet.
Hand made card with chicks drawn on it.
Easters fun for everyone,
Hiding eggs is so much fun. However you spend your day,
Saronti's wishes zoom your way.

The Labyrinth, by Holly Age 9

We enter the gate,
Walk into the maze
This is a puzzle,
We could be here for days

Do we turn left?
Or do we turn right?
We could even be here
For the rest of the night.

Oh how long have we been here
But we’ve reached the middle
Now this is the hard bit
It’s just like a riddle.

We must find the way
Of that there’s no doubt
The path led us in
But it won’t lead us out.
